Job summary

Canopy Children's Solutions in Jackson, MS seeks a licensed Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition services for youth in the CARES Center. You will perform assessments, guide dietary plans, and coordinate menus ensuring nutrient adequacy and trauma‑informed care.

Responsibilities include nutrition evaluation, collaboration with care teams, and education of youth and families to support overall well‑being and growth in a trusted nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or related field required by CDR.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited program with supervised practice.
• Eligible for or holds Mississippi Dietitian Licensure (LD).

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments on each youth on admission to CARES Center.
• Advise the Dietary Manager on nutritional needs per assessments to ensure proper nutrition.
• Be familiar with youths’ medication and nutrition interaction for daily meals.
• Oversee monthly menu creation to meet nutritional needs and preferences.
• Oversee timing of meal and snack delivery to support youths’ well‑being.
• Assist in recipe creation to ensure adequate macro & micronutrients.
