Job summary

Hour Children, Inc. seeks a Parenting Education Facilitator to support justice-involved women at the Rose M. Singer Center on Rikers Island and their families.

The role oversees and coordinates Hour Children's parenting education offerings, including Partners in Parenting, Anger Management, and Healthy Relationships. The facilitator will collaborate with staff, deliver gender-responsive programming, document outcomes, and arrange classes, locations, and graduations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and evaluate all parenting curriculums.
• Facilitate gender-responsive and trauma-informed group programming that addresses parenting, relationships, and navigating systems.
• Develop and coordinate opportunities for enrichment, including guest speakers, staff development, and educational workshops.
• Work with Doulas to support new mothers in the RMSC Nursery and develop a parenting curriculum for nursery residents.
• Pre- and post-test participants to demonstrate knowledge gains and document program outcomes.
