Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Minneapolis is seeking a Milieu Supervisor to lead the trauma-informed milieu at our 13-bed youth crisis and stabilization center in Hennepin County. You will mentor staff, coordinate daily operations, and ensure safe, welcoming admissions and evidence-based treatment planning.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related industry.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and Nexus driving requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals or communities.
• Willingness to meet cultural needs and values.
• Complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam/training.
• Pass DHS criminal background check.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or clinically related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience working with clients and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed milieu leadership and mentorship in treatment guidance plans.
• Develop and implement client treatment plans with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Identify and analyze risk factors and plan solutions.
• Ensure safe admissions and trauma-informed milieu for youth and family.
• Plan and schedule daily trauma-informed treatment services.
• Monitor delivery of services and ensure family inclusion and communication.
• Track daily needs of youth related to clothing, diet, court meetings, and family time.
• Interview and hire youth care staff; provide coaching and mentoring.
• Prepare staff schedules and approve timecards.
• Ensure staff perform duties with calm, therapeutic approach.
• Coordinate shift-related documentation and on-call coverage.
