Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a 2nd Shift Milieu Supervisor for our Portland, Oregon Residential Program. This full-time role leads trauma-informed milieu operations in a tight-knit unit, ensuring safe and effective treatment for youth ages 10-17 with complex needs.

The position emphasizes leadership, staff development, and coordination of daily treatment services within a secure, high-support environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related industry
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet state driving requirements
• Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and communities
• Completion of a three-part Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training

Responsibilities

• Develops program procedures to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery
• Participates in multidisciplinary team to implement client treatment plans
• Identifies problems or risk factors and proposes solutions
• Ensures new admissions enter a safe, welcoming milieu and needs are met
• Plans daily trauma-informed treatment services
• Monitors treatment delivery and family inclusion
• Tracks youth needs related to clothing, diet, court meetings, and family time
• Hires and coaches youth care staff
• Prepares staff schedules and approves timecards
• Ensures staff interactions are calm and trauma-informed
• Coordinates shift-related documentation
• Provides direct floor coverage when needed
