Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant in Missouri.
• CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Meet the total clinical needs of practice patients as directed by the Psychiatrist or APN.
• Report to the Nurse Coordinator of Adult Psychiatric Practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Nurse Coordinator, physician or APN.
• Maintain communication with higher level nursing and physicians; manage medication logs and related records.
• Facilitate efficient patient transitions and communicate pertinent data to the physician/provider.
• Ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Engage patients and families in education of the plan of care.
• Meet productivity standards of the mental health office.
• All other duties as assigned.
