The Wave of North Florida is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Lake City, Florida to join a dedicated team providing evidence-based care to adults recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida LMHC license and a Master’s degree, with strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills. This full-time, on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active Florida LMHC license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or closely related field.
• Experience treating substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions preferred.
• Excellent clinical, communication, organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care.
• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic services.
• Support clients throughout every stage of their recovery journey.
