Job summary

The Wave of North Florida in Lake City, Florida is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our multidisciplinary team. This full-time role focuses on helping adults recover from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will provide individual, group, and family therapy, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans while maintaining compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Experience treating substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions is preferred.
• Excellent clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client care.
• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic services.
• Support clients throughout every stage of their recovery journey.
