Job summary

County of San Luis Obispo seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician II/III to join a multidisciplinary team serving youth in the Juvenile Hall. The role offers a Tue–Fri schedule with one evening shift weekly, plus differential pay for work in a 24-hour facility.

The ideal candidate provides individual/family therapy, crisis assessment, and implements evidence-based, HIPAA-compliant practices in a trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Licensure/registration required at time of application and maintained during employment.
• Master's degree in counseling or related field with intern registration or active licensure.
• Experience providing direct services to individuals and/or families.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team serving youth in the Juvenile Hall.
• Deliver individual and family therapy, crisis assessment and management.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches.
• Apply laws, rules, and policies related to behavioral health operations.
