Job summary

Samaritan Health Services in Newport, Oregon, seeks a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor-Registered (CADC-R) to join our Treatment and Recovery Services team. You will triage high risk clients and refer them to appropriate treatment within trauma-informed, evidence-based practice frameworks.

The role operates across residential and outpatient settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to apply ASAM criteria and recovery models. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CADC-R required; CADC I/NCAC I or higher within 2 years of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• One year experience in alcohol and drug support.
• Experience with computer applications.
• If responsible for driving SHS vehicles, drivers privileges for SHS vehicles process required.
• Pre-employment drug screen.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage high risk clients and refer to treatment.
• Collaborate with treatment team to ensure trauma informed, evidence-based practices.
• Work in both residential and outpatient settings as part of Samaritan Treatment and Recovery Services.
• Utilize knowledge of recovery resources and ASAM criteria in client placement.
