Job summary

Lantern Community Services in Washington Heights is seeking an Assistant Program Director to lead a trauma-informed team delivering housing stability and wellbeing services for adults at a 70-unit HASA-funded residence.

You will supervise case management staff, review clinical documentation, coordinate with program leadership, and foster equity, inclusion, and growth while ensuring compliant, client-centered programming and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Health Care (MHC) required.
• LMSW or LMHC licensure within one year of employment preferred.
• Experience supervising staff in social services.
• Knowledge of relevant contracts and funder requirements.
• Trauma-informed approach and data-driven practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and coaching to case management staff.
• Review and approve clinical documentation; monitor outcomes.
• Support policy development, outcomes tracking, and program management.
• Lead clinical and staff meetings; promote trauma-informed care.
• Oversee treatment planning, safety planning, and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate with property management and service providers.
• Collaborate on funder reporting, incident review, and audits.
• Develop client-centered groups and programming.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and supervision with leadership.
• Prepare incident reports and funder notifications.
