Job summary

Roots Through Recovery is seeking a Contracted Group Facilitator to provide therapeutic support in group therapy and counseling at our treatment center in California. You will apply trauma-informed approaches to create a safe, healing environment where participants share experiences and develop coping skills.

Ideal candidates will hold relevant licensure or registration in California and demonstrate expertise in trauma, group dynamics, and co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Valid California CADC/CAADC or AMFT/LMFT/LCSW/Psy.D license or registration is required to practice in the state.
• Valid C-Number with Los Angeles County to access SAGE/PCNX is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma, group facilitation, and mental health treatment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and best practices in group therapy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate evidence-based group therapy sessions, fostering open dialogue and supportive feedback.
• Apply trauma-informed principles to ensure emotional safety and respectful interactions.
• Promote emotional growth through therapeutic activities and coping strategies in a non-judgmental space.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional conduct.
• Document sessions, attendance, progress notes, and treatment plans, collaborating with the treatment team.
