Job summary

The Horsham Clinic is seeking a dynamic and talented Activity Therapist to join its behavioral health team. The Expressive Therapist will provide trauma informed group therapy and psycho-education rooted in the dialectical behavior therapy model, leading skills training groups and expressive therapy sessions for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree/REQUIRED
• Certificationin creative arts therapies (music, dance/movement and/or drama)
• Exposure to psychiatric patients ( adults, adolescents and dual diagnosed patients),General hospital environment.
• Experience in Group Therapy required
• Licenses Certifications: CTRS,MT-BC,RDT,R-DMT,LPC
• Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, nursing clinical practices, and management
• Knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities
• Highly Developed written and verbal communication skills
• 1 or more years of progressive experience in behavioral health setting preferred
• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed group therapy and psycho-education rooted in the dialectical behavior therapy model.
• Lead a variety of skills training groups, process and/or expressive Therapy groups designed to meet the individualized needs of the population served.
• Provide opportunities for patients to learn and demonstrate healthy adaptive skills.
• Collaborate with treatment team to support patients and families.
