Job summary

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a paraeducator for Neshobe Elementary School to begin September 24, 2026. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day (35 hours per week).

The paraeducator will support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development, collaborating with teachers and staff to provide inclusive, trauma-informed assistance throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent preferred.
• High School Diploma acceptable with Title 1 Highly Qualified requirements.
• PreK training 12-15 hours and background check required within first year.
• Maintain CPI de-escalation/restraint certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students as directed by teachers.
• Interact with students, families, staff, and community in a respectful, professional manner.
• Assist in implementing lessons or programs as designed by the classroom teacher.
• Adhere to district procedures and applicable laws and policies.

Education

Associates degree or equivalent preferred

High School Diploma acceptable with Title 1 Highly Qualified

PreK training 12-15 hours + background check

CPI de-escalation certification maintained
