Mettawee Community School seeks a 0.40 FTE Paraeducator - Virtual Learning Support Assistant to work with students in grades K-6 for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year! The Paraeducator - Virtual Learning Support Assistant is assigned to provide onsite supervision and instructional support duties to assist in the implementation and delivery of virtual learning services as per the student’s IEP. In this position, the Paraeducator - Virtual Learning Support Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting students’ accessing virtual assessment sessions and ensuring their access to necessary materials (papers, pencils, blocks, etc.) to complete assessment tasks. This position collaborates with virtual providers and the school team to provide an environment conducive to virtual learning. The Other job requirements include monitoring student progress, data collection, behavior management, and communication support.
As a related service provider, the Paraeducator - Virtual Learning Support Assistant is expected to participate in meetings with the student’s IEP team, upon request of the case manager.
Paraeducators work under the day-to-day direction of the staff member(s) supported including the classroom teacher, special education teacher, SLP, OT, PT, and under the direct supervision of the Principal. Teachers and/or special education personnel provide specific directions and oversight for supervision and/or instructional support.
