University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a faculty member for Trauma-Informed Education in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. This is a full-time, on-campus, nine-month, non-tenure-track position, with duties split as 80% teaching and 20% administrative/service work.

Teaching will focus on equity-centered trauma-informed education for the online master’s program; responsibilities include coordinating programs and teaching both online and face-to-face courses.

Qualifications

• PhD in education or a related field is required prior to the start of the position.
• Experience in the use of technology for instructional delivery, including online course delivery, is required.
• Experience in trauma-informed education or related area is preferred.
• Commitment to equity-centered education and diverse settings is expected.
• Prior university teaching experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach master's level courses related to equity-centered, trauma-informed education.
• Contribute to the development of undergraduate programs in Trauma-Informed Education.
• Teach additional courses in Curriculum and Instruction based on areas of expertise.
• Provide service at state and local levels related to trauma-informed education.
• Position is 80% teaching (4:4 teaching load), 20% administrative and service work.
