Job summary

Harbor House of Central Florida is seeking a PIP Child Welfare Advocate to support survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, resource coordination, and ongoing case management. You will help clients identify needs, set goals, and access services that promote long-term safety and self-sufficiency.

The role requires crisis intervention, safety planning, and collaboration with Child Protective Investigations and community partners.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing victim advocacy, community outreach, resource navigation, case coordination, or direct services to survivors.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean record for the past 5 years; must be 21 or older.

Responsibilities

  • Serve families with open DCF cases or involved in child welfare, receiving referrals and providing survivor-centered advocacy and case management.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and help clients develop individualized service plans for safety and stability.
  • Provide ongoing advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, resource navigation, and follow-up to address housing, finances, employment, education, healthcare, and legal services.
