Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Creative Arts Therapist (Art or Dance/Movement Therapist) to support the NEA Creative Forces at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA.

Therapists will develop, implement, and evaluate therapies programs for patients and collaborate with physicians, staff, and families to foster healing. Responsibilities include assessing needs, documenting interventions, obtaining art supplies, and coordinating with psychosocial services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an accredited art therapy program.
• Minimum two years of relevant clinical internship or work experience.
• Experience with military-connected patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with patients, families, and staff to understand needs from a creative therapy perspective and develops plans.
• Documents interventions in patient records according to therapy documentation standards.
• Collaborates with department and hospital staff to address patient or systemic issues.
• Obtains and maintains age-appropriate art supplies and equipment for the program.
