Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) invites applications for a Creative Arts Therapist (Art or Dance/Movement Therapist) to support the NEA Creative Forces at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord, WA.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Art Therapy or Dance/Movement Therapy with relevant internship/work experience.
• Experience with military-connected trauma populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand patient needs from a creative therapy perspective and assess goals.
• Document interventions in patient records per therapy standards.
• Develop materials to explain and promote the program and measure its effectiveness.
• Ensure age-appropriate, safe art supplies and materials for the program.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to address patient or systemic problems.
