Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Creative Arts Therapist (Art or Dance/Movement Therapist) to support NEA Creative Forces located at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA.

The Creative Arts Therapist will develop, implement, and evaluate creative arts therapies for patients and will foster positive and professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives and visitors.

The Creative Arts Therapists will develop, implement, and evaluate creative arts therapies program for patients. Fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives and visitors. Effectively uses interpersonal communication skills to promote a healing environment.

The mission of the Creative Forces Network is to improve the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of trauma-exposed military service members and veterans, as well as their families and caregivers, by increasing knowledge of and access to clinical creative arts therapies and community arts engagement.
