Job summary

Conscious Healing, Inc. seeks a Counselor/Therapist to provide behavioral health and substance use disorder counseling within a trauma-sensitive treatment model.

You will deliver individual, group, and family interventions, support treatment planning, and ensure timely clinical documentation within a multidisciplinary team. You will engage participants to stabilize, build insight, improve emotional regulation, reduce relapse risk, and progress toward long-term recovery, while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia credential or registration in good standing.
• Experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and confidentiality standards.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services, including individual, group, and family interventions as assigned.
• Deliver trauma-first, clinically appropriate interventions that support stabilization and recovery progress.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups for participants in PHP, IOP, OP, and related programs.
• Maintain an assigned caseload and provide participant support based on level of care and treatment goals.
• Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and related documentation within required timeframes.
• Document services with accuracy, medical necessity, timeliness, and alignment with standards.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, relapse risk, safety concerns, and barriers to care.
• Follow up on participant concerns and escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in supervision, case staffing, and interdisciplinary communication.
