Job summary

Christian Children's Home of Ohio Cottage Therapist provides individual and group therapy, crisis counseling, and collaborates with the Cottage Supervisor to maintain a healthy culture within the cottage and guide residents through the treatment program. Requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling and an active LSW/LPC license.

4–10 years’ experience with children, preferably in residential settings, and a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling strongly preferred.
• LSW/LPC license required; LISW/LPCC preferred.
• 4–10 years of related experience, preferably with children in residential settings.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy and crisis counseling.
• Lead therapy within cottage and collaborate with Cottage Supervisor to maintain culture.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans (ITPs) and coordinate services with staff.
• Complete documentation including progress notes, assessments, ITPs, discharge/transfer summaries.
• Provide training to cottage staff and participate in agency CQI/meetings.
• Available 24/7 for residents on-site or via videoconferencing.
