Job summary

The Fort Walton Beach Chamber seeks a Neighborhood Therapist to provide trauma-informed mental health services to children within The Children's Neighborhood, including foster homes and the Emergency Shelter.

The therapist will manage an assigned caseload, collaborate with caregivers, schools, case managers, and community partners to promote healing, placement stability, and positive outcomes for children who have experienced abuse and trauma.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or mental health counseling.
• Florida licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred.
• Two+ years of experience in child welfare, trauma, or crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed mental health services to children within The Children’s Neighborhood, including foster homes and the Emergency Shelter.
• Manage an assigned caseload and collaborate with caregivers, schools, case managers, and community partners to promote healing and placement stability.
• Promote positive outcomes for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, and other forms of trauma.
