Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy or related field required.
• Ability to complete evaluations with diverse clients using evidence-based practices.
• Establishes treatment plans with client participation within first two sessions.
• Provides counseling in group, family, couple, or individual settings and monitors progress.
• Maintains clinical records meeting timeliness and completeness for billing and clinical purposes.
• Handles highly complex cases and collaborates across Heartland Family Service programs.
• Completes required reports, statistics and other documentation promptly and accurately.
• Meets third-party payer requirements for authorizations, reviews and billing information.
• Provides mental health crisis intervention as needed.
• Dependable and punctual in scheduling and attendance.
• Engages with the community to support fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
• Essential functions performed on site; adheres to program procedures and policies.
• Develops personal and program-related skills through trainings and media resources.
• Maintains a dynamic self-care plan and assists interns with work-life balance.
• Performs other program-related duties as assigned.
