Job summary

Primary Children’s Center for Safe and Healthy Families seeks a Mental Health Therapist to provide evidence-based outpatient therapy for children and adolescents who have experienced maltreatment, trauma, or grief. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

External applicants may receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The position is full-time, day shift, based in Lehi and Riverton, Utah, within Intermountain Health.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills including email and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based outpatient mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers with trauma histories.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and treatment planning.
• Deliver trauma-informed individual, family, and caregiver-focused interventions as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
