Job summary

Connections for the Homeless is hiring a licensed clinician to provide trauma-informed behavioral health assessments, crisis response, short-term therapy, and care coordination for shelter and drop-in participants. You will support connections to community-based services and collaborate with health teams to ensure coordinated care.

The role requires Illinois LCSW/LCPC licensure (or eligible) and experience with trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Illinois LCSW or LCPC license required; LSW or LPC with licensure eligibility within 6 months considered.
• Experience diagnosing mental health and substance use disorders.
• Trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and recovery model understanding.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with participants in shelter/drop-in settings.
• Assesses behavioral health disorders for benefits eligibility; completes forms.
• Provides short-term counseling/therapy in community-based programs.
