Job summary

Central Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to join its Behavioral Health Services. The role is focused on compassionate, trauma-informed clinical care to reduce barriers to mental health and substance use supports.

You will provide diagnostic assessments and strengths-based treatment for individuals, families, and groups, deliver crisis intervention, psychoeducation and advocacy, and collaborate with care teams across settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience performing mental health and substance use assessments, diagnosis and individual/group treatment.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessment of mental health and/or substance use disorders using DSM and other screenings to guide treatment.
• Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally affirming therapeutic counseling for individuals and groups.
• Lead and facilitate psychoeducational and counseling groups; foster group cohesion and participation.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and serve as subject matter expert on social work approaches.
• Respond to mental health and substance use crises with trauma-informed interventions, risk assessment and de-escalation.
• Advocate for patient choices and collaborate with treatment teams to coordinate care and referrals.
• Support continuous quality improvement and utilization management within the Behavioral Health program.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other relevant meetings; complete documentation per standards.
• Educate staff on trauma-informed care and behavioral health services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
