Children & Family Advocacy Center is seeking an Advocate – Engagement & Initiation Phase to connect families entering services. The role involves trauma-informed advocacy, case coordination, and guiding families through initial CFAC processes, including preparation for forensic interviews and follow-up supports.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to connect families to needed services, document interactions, and ensure compassionate, confidential support across the intake and initiation

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience with children and families in child advocacy, victim services, social services, behavioral health, domestic violence, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, child development, family systems, and community resources.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize responsibilities, and respond in crisis situations.
• Strong documentation skills with confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Direct trauma-informed advocacy, emotional support, crisis intervention, and needs assessment for children and families.
• Serve as the primary advocacy connection during initial involvement; explain services and identify barriers.
• Prepare families for the forensic interview and provide advocacy before, during, and after the interview.
• Coordinate with CFAC programs and community resources based on identified needs.
• Collaborate with medical providers, counselors, law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare, and other partners.
• Maintain timely, confidential documentation and ensure data entry into CFAC databases.
• Provide follow-up and participate in on-call rotations; respond to new referrals.
