Job summary

Cascadia Health is hiring an Addiction and Recovery Counselor II to provide individualized addiction services in a SE Portland outpatient clinic. You will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team applying trauma-informed and strength-based approaches to support clients on their recovery journey.

The role emphasizes assessments, personalized service plans, and facilitating therapy sessions with a focus on harm reduction and Motivational Interviewing.

Qualifications

• CADC I or CADC II certification is required.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery models is essential.
• Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to operate computer systems and prep simple reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct addiction assessments to understand client needs.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions and relapse prevention.
• Collaborate with internal/external resources for client care.
• Assist in crisis situations and maintain a trauma-informed environment.
