Qualifications

• Must have NYS OASAS CASAC or CASAC-T credential with path toward full certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or related field.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing and CBT; ability to work in a trauma-informed, harm-reduction framework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use disorder assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group counseling using motivational interviewing, CBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide education on medications for addiction treatment and overdose prevention; support client engagement in decision-making.
• Coordinate referrals and discharge planning with medical providers, recovery housing, and outpatient programs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records per regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with peer specialists and clinical leadership to support long-term stabilization and recovery identity.
