Job summary

The Addiction Counselor (SUDP) at Columbia Valley Community Health Center in Wenatchee, WA provides information, screening, assessment, and counseling for clients with substance use disorders, using trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches.

You collaborate with care coordinators, therapists, and providers, may support at Chelan or East Wenatchee sites, and complete required documentation while upholding CVCH policies and WA state requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in chemical dependency, addiction studies, human services, or related field.
• Credentialing: WA RCW 18.205/WAC 246-811 SUDP credential.
• Experience: Two years providing substance use disorder treatment in a licensed facility.
• Technical Skills: Strong MS Word/Excel and data entry ability.
• Interpersonal: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical/Mental: Able to read forms and work in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Review screenings and engage at-risk patients in discussion.
• Provide assessment, counseling, and referrals for SUD.
• Work with CVCH care teams and adhere to ASAM guidelines.
• Complete required documentation on time.
• Attend supervision and required meetings.
