Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• License to practice as RN or APRN is required.
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.
