HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment. You will join an amazing team that supports each other and is committed to patient care.

You will assess and manage care for PCU patients, educate patients on medications and treatment, and maintain accurate records. A Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC/TCAR, and NIHSS timelines are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure in accordance with state regulations or compact licensure; active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS required after 60 days of hire/transfer.
• TNCC or TCAR required after 12 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS required after 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
