Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is part of Mass General Brigham, Boston, seeking a Staff Nurse for a 36-hour variable night shift in the Trauma ICU.

The nurse will provide direct patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet complex patient needs. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care, documenting accurately, and ensuring safe medication administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current surgical trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for a specific patient.
• Set priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.
• Maintain clear and concise communication.
• Document nursing care in compliance with standards.
• Develop a comprehensive discharge plan utilizing appropriate resources.
• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives.
