Alameda Health System in Oakland, California, seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Trauma Team in the ICU, managing critically injured patients, performing procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Prior trauma/critical care experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Requires NP or PA certification, CA licensure eligibility, and a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered trauma care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner training program or a Physician Assistant program approved by the governing board.
• NCCPA certification or ANCC/AANP WHNP certifications as applicable.
• Current nursing/NP/PA licensure in California or eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Consults with physicians regarding patient health status and refers complex cases to appropriate resources.
• Participates in rounds and performs selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
• Orders and/or performs laboratory and screening tests per protocol.
• Conducts history and physical examinations; maintains health records.
• Plans care in consultation with physicians and families; develops problem lists.
• Provides and evaluates patient care per protocol and quality criteria.
• Teaches patients and families; offers counseling on health practices.
