Job summary

ARIZONA HUMANE SOCIETY is seeking a full-time Trauma Hospital Supervisor to lead and support the Trauma Hospital team, ensuring compassionate, humane, and timely care for animals. The role involves coordinating daily operations, staff scheduling, and collaboration with the Hospital Manager to uphold safety and department goals.

The position requires veterinary hospital or shelter medicine experience and proven supervisory capabilities, working Sunday through Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from technical school preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or shelter medicine.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a veterinary hospital, animal welfare, or comparable healthcare environment.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, anesthesia, pharmacology and safe, humane animal handling.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care and treatment in the Trauma Hospital, ensuring compassionate and timely care.
• Lead, train, and support the Trauma Hospital Medical Team; coordinate staffing and daily assignments.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness; ensure smooth patient flow across departments.
• Partner with the Trauma Hospital Manager to support staff performance, safety, policies, and department goals.
• Foster a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for staff and animals.
