Job summary

Intermountain Health in Brighton, CO is seeking a general/trauma surgeon to join a collaborative, patient‑centered team delivering a broad range of general, acute care and trauma surgery with strong hospital support.

You will work with three experienced surgeons and an advanced practice provider, manage urgent cases, and participate in a 1:4 on‑call schedule, with call weekends and commutable proximity to Platte Valley Hospital. Excellent benefits and signing bonus offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board-eligible in General Surgery.
• ACGME residency in General Surgery completed.
• Active Colorado medical license or ability to obtain one.
• ATLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in trauma or community hospital setting preferred.
• Able to independently manage emergency and acute care surgical cases.
• Within ~20 minutes of Platte Valley Hospital for timely response.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma coverage and activations for Level III trauma center.
• Surgical coverage for hospital and emergency department.
• Independently address urgent surgical needs.
• Support trauma handoffs and inpatient care.
