Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island is seeking a Trauma-Focused Clinician to provide evidence-based trauma treatment to children and adults affected by mass violence, within the Rhode Island Resiliency Center. The role involves building trust, training on trauma topics, and partnering with community organizations to enhance care and resiliency.

The position requires a Master's in a human service field and RI licensure eligibility as a Social Worker, Therapist or Mental Health Counselor.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human service related field.
• Independently licensed or eligible to be independently licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Therapist or Mental Health Counselor.
• Preference for ability to speak Spanish to support clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment to children and adults in individual and group settings.
• Support victims, survivors and families impacted by mass violence within the RI Resiliency Center.
• Build rapport with community partners, participate in healing activities and trainings on trauma topics.
• Collaborate to ensure coordinated care and strengthen resiliency efforts across Rhode Island.
