Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Harlingen, TX seeks a Trauma Coordinator RN to lead the trauma program, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and drive quality improvement. This full-time daytime role requires strong collaboration with physicians, nursing, and EMS teams and ongoing education efforts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BS preferred.
• RN license current and in good standing.
• BLS certification required on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certification required on hire and kept current.
• PALS or ENPC certification required on hire and kept current.
• TNCC certification required.
• Minimum three years in emergency nursing and trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Organizes services and systems for multidisciplinary trauma care and manages day-to-day Trauma Program operations.
• Provides direction for patient care across the continuum in collaboration with trauma team physicians, sub‑specialists, nursing and ancillary services.
• Promotes optimal trauma care through clinical activities, education, administrative functions, and quality improvement.
• Oversees Trauma PI Program, Trauma Registry, and Community Injury Prevention Programs; collaborates with EMS and regulatory agencies.
• Maintains a communication system with all departments involved in trauma patient care.
