Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time Emergency Room Trauma Coordinator Registered Nurse. You will supervise the ER team, coordinate trauma care, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and support quality improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved nursing program, holds NM RN license, and has ACLS and BLS; at least 2 years in emergency or trauma settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in New Mexico.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in emergency/trauma nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the ER nursing and staff within the department.
• Supports and interprets the hospital mission and promotes collaboration among clinical teams.
• Ensures delivery of high-quality trauma care and evaluates outcomes to drive improvement.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.

• Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities:

• The Clinical Coordinator directs and supervises the professional and other staff members assigned to the department, supports and interprets the mission of the hospital and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients and families.
• The Clinical Coordinator provides for the delivery of care to a specific group of patients and evaluates the quality of that care in a systematic fashion,in order to improve care.
• The care isdelivered within the framework of hospital philosophy and approved budget, and in concert with other departments and services within and outside of the hospital.
• TheCoordinatormust be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
