Role Overview

Seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a busy Level I Trauma Center, specializing in trauma, geriatric trauma, and acute care surgery on units 6400 & 6500. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, promoting patient safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, developing care plans collaboratively, and ensuring communication across the care continuum. The role involves managing diverse patient populations with injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, falls, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries, as well as acute surgical cases.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• RN license required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• No prior experience necessary; 2 years of experience preferred for advanced roles
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism
• Commitment to professional development and collaboration
