The Division of Acute Care Surgery at MUSC Charleston seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a full-time, 1.0 FTE split role. The clinical half (0.5 FTE) delivers outpatient chest wall injury care, including preoperative evaluation, postoperative follow up, and peri-admission management.

The system half (0.5 FTE) advances trauma preparedness with education, simulation, and disaster planning across regional hospitals.

Qualifications

• Required Minimum Training: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant; or Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.
• Experience in trauma, acute care surgery, thoracic, or related surgical specialty preferred.

Responsabilités

• Clinical care in outpatient setting for chest wall injury patients including preoperative evaluation, postoperative follow up, and coordination of care.
• Inpatient and consultative roles with trauma and chest wall injury patients.
• Educate and develop system-wide trauma preparedness and disaster response programs.
• Assist with simulation design and delivery and develop site-specific disaster management plans.
