Job summary

University Medical Associates (UMA) is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery. The role blends outpatient chest wall injury care with system-wide disaster preparedness and education.

You will move between direct patient care and program development, supporting MUSC Charleston and regional hospitals, with 0.5 FTE clinical and 0.5 FTE system duties. Candidates must have PA or NP training, licensure eligibility, and trauma/surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a PA.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.
• Current national certification appropriate to the discipline (e.g., ANCC/AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required for adult inpatient only positions.
