Job summary

Salem Health is seeking a compassionate RN to join the Trauma Care Unit in Salem, OR. The role supports a 30-bed unit with telemetry-capable private rooms, including 15 ICU-capable rooms, in a Level 2 trauma hospital.

You’ll work 12-hour shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm) on a full-time, non-exempt schedule. You’ll care for patients with traumatic, vascular, cardiac, respiratory, and metabolic conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and maintaining documentation, care plans, and infection

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN or BA in nursing, or MSN. ADN and Diploma RN also encouraged to apply.
• ADN with <5 years acute care must commit to BSN/MSN within 3 years.
• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate, ongoing, age-appropriate assessments for each patient.
• Reports data and consults with the healthcare team and takes action.
• Delivers care per individualized patient care plans.
• Follows Salem Health-West Valley Hospital policies and procedures.
• Initiates and reviews care plans with patients and families.
