Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Trauma Care Unit at Salem Hospital. This full-time, 36-hour/week role involves 12-hour shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm) in a 30-bed unit with telemetry-capable rooms, including ICU-capable beds.

You’ll work in a Level 2 trauma hospital focused on trauma and vascular care, collaborating with a high-performing team. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, contribute to care plans, and ensure documentation is accurate while supporting

Qualifications

• Requires BSN/MSN or ADN/diploma with commitment to pursue BSN/MSN within 3 years.
• Current unencumbered RN licensure in Oregon and BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate assessments for each patient.
• Communicate data with the health care team and take appropriate action.
• Deliver care per individualized care plans and Salem Health policies.
• Initiate and review care plans with patients and families.
• Adjust care plans as patient condition changes.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately.
• Anticipate needs and share information proactively.
• Maintain unit safety through infection control and safe handling.
