Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Trauma Nurse Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the Trauma Center Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan. The role collaborates with Case Managers and Social Workers to ensure seamless trauma patient care across the continuum.

Responsibilities include ensuring Level 1 Trauma Center standards compliance, developing PI initiatives, and supporting clinical care delivery while maintaining high professional standards and patient

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NC license and current BLS.
• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three years of trauma/emergency nursing experience.
• TNCC instructor or eligibility within 18 months of hire.
• National nursing certification required, TCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and evaluates the Trauma Center Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
• Serves as liaison with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across the continuum.
• Ensure compliance with Level 1 Trauma Center standards; monitor PI indicators.
