Job summary

UAB Medicine, Alabama’s largest health system, seeks a registered nurse for the Trauma Burn ICU. You will apply the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness, guiding assessment, judgment, and care in a high-acuity setting.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, coordinate family-centered planning, and provide compassionate support in a Level I trauma environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license or eligibility in Alabama required.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention, and evaluation with critical thinking.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrist, and/or dentist as needed.
