Job summary

Smith+Naphew in Dayton, OH is seeking an Associate Sales Representative to support our Trauma business. You will gain hands-on OR experience, develop technical expertise, and help surgeons and healthcare teams across your territory.

You will drive revenue with the Trauma Sales team, assist with surgical case coverage, manage demo inventory, deliver product education, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience or relevant clinical experience.
• Interest in Trauma Orthopaedics.
• Ability to build relationships with surgeons and hospital personnel.
• Self-motivated and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Trauma Sales team across the Dayton territory to help drive revenue growth and achieve quota.
• Assist with surgical case coverage and provide technical support in operating room environments.
• Manage demo inventory including setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring product availability.
• Deliver product education and in service training to surgeons and hospital staff.
• Transport inventory between customer accounts to support clinical needs.
• Build foundational knowledge of Trauma Orthopaedics including internal and external fixation solutions.
• Develop strong relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and clinical teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation with the wider sales team.

• Delivering product education and in service training to surgeons and hospital staff
• Transporting inventory between customer accounts to support clinical needs
• Building foundational knowledge of Trauma Orthopaedics including internal and external fixation solutions
• Developing strong relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and clinical teams
• Participating in a 24 7 on call rotation with the wider sales team

What will you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience or relevant clinical experience
• Strong technical learning ability and interest in Trauma Orthopaedics
• Ability to build relationships with surgeons and hospital personnel
• Self motivated and results driven mindset with a desire to grow in medical device sales
• Preferred experience in orthopedics or clinical roles such as EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, Operating Room Aide, or Athletic Trainer
