Job summary

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Staff or Senior Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support Department of Orthopaedic Surgery – Trauma Service at UPMC Presbyterian.

The successful candidate will split time between inpatient and outpatient duties within a very busy Level 1 trauma service. This role offers a pathway to leadership and collaboration with physicians and the broader health-care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program is required.
• Current state RN license and CRNP/PA certification are required.
• Active CPR certification and applicable state licenses are required.
• Experience in acute care/trauma settings is preferred for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities with independence and collaboration.
• Maintain clinical documentation and communicate effectively.
• Develop plans of care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure quality care.
• Lead and mentor other team members as appropriate.
