Job summary

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is expanding its Department of Anesthesiology and seeks exceptional General Anesthesiologists to join the faculty in Miami, FL. The appointment emphasizes teaching, mentorship, and scholarly contribution within a large academic medical center.

Ideal candidates will have completed US residency in Anesthesiology with board eligibility or certification, and will participate in a broad range of cases while supervising residents and CRNAs.

Qualifications

• Completed US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, abdominal, vascular, and kidney transplants
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs
• Possibly perform cases independently when required
• Participate in academic activities, teaching, mentoring, conferences and faculty meetings
• Call is 3-4 overnight calls per month (some calls from home); occasional evening/weekend calls
• Effort distribution may change based on department needs and grant funding success
