Job summary

Hughston Trauma in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Trauma Advanced Practice Provider to extend clinical productivity and support injured patients across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

The APP will work with orthopaedic trauma surgeons, provide clinic coverage, assist in the operating room, and manage care transitions while maintaining a high standard of patient care and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in PA/NP required to practice.
• Surgical First Assist experience or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Current State licensure and DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Hughston Trauma with professionalism in patient and staff interactions.
• Support ambulatory clinic operations, triage concerns, and process paperwork.
• Perform minor procedures in ambulatory settings (suturing, debridements, joint aspirations).
• Maintain APP clinic weekly with others, plus inpatient duties one weekend per month.

Education

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Surgical First Assist certification/experience

State licensure and DEA licensure
